Dr. Moslehi is CEO and CTO of IFOS. He leads the company’s efforts to develop innovative products and conduct world-class research and development in advanced photonic sensing and signal processing systems for life sciences, aerospace, safety, and energy markets. He has led the successful commercialization of IFOS’ products. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the development and commercialization of photonic sensing and signal processing systems for monitoring and control of high value assets in demanding environments.
Dr. Moslehi helped to commercialize pioneering fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) and sensor arrays at Litton Systems (now Northrop Grumman). He also contributed to the design of the first WDM products at Physical Optics Corporation (POC). He has conducted research and development work on advanced fiber and integrated optic devices and photonic integrated circuits (PICs). These include the development of photonic signal processors and sensors at Stanford University, XEROX PARC, Litton Systems, Quantex Corporation, POC, and Optivision. His work contributed to the founding of ONI Systems, which was spun off from Optivision and subsequently went through a successful IPO in 2000 (ONI was later acquired by Ciena).
Dr. Behzad Moslehi received a PhD and an MS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MS degree in Applied Physics, all from Stanford University. He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Arya-Mehr University of Technology. He has numerous publications, official technical reports, and patents in these areas. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, OSA, and SPIE, and a Member of SPE, SAMPE and AWEA. Dr. Moslehi is Chairman of IFOS’ Board of Directors.
